On Sunday, December 29, the Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish in Monrovia was filled with joy and celebration as several parishioners marked a significant milestone in their lives. In a special ceremony held during the Feast of the Holy Family, these devoted couples were honored for their 25 years of marriage, standing alongside others from across the Archdiocese of Monrovia.

The Feast of the Holy Family, celebrated on the Sunday after Christmas, holds profound significance in the Catholic tradition. This feast acknowledges the sanctity of family life and embodies the virtues of love, compassion, and commitment exemplified by Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. By honoring married couples during this sacred occasion, the Church emphasizes the importance of strong family units as the foundation of society.

During the ceremony, which was presided over by Archbishop Gabriel Blamo Jubwe  the air was filled with a spirit of gratitude and reflection. The bishop spoke of the values of fidelity and perseverance that the couples had demonstrated over their quarter-century journeys together.

The celebration not only honored the couples but also served as an encouragement for younger families and individuals within the parish, showcasing the beauty of lifelong commitment and the essential role families play in nurturing faith and values in children and future generations.
